city of love???

i got a chance to visit Paris recently... its an amazing city no doubt... but i found it very cold... not only the climate... even the peolpe... all r decked in black, in a hurry, with a remorse expression.... i felt i have reached a city of sad people not the city of love... maybe its the climate....
Or is it the new world order... no one seems to b happyy... every one is in a mad rush in search of happiness.... that tooo they want it fast, instant... at any cost.... nirvana thru vending machine.
maybe i am old fashioned who like to be confined within my boundaries... but then who decides on the boundary? mine could b diff from urs? does that mean i am more good than u?
ooohhh too complex...
Recently someone accused me "U r not a liberal, u only calim to b one" It left me wondering again... who is a liberal... i am still googling to find out the true liberal... is a true liberal someone who will accept anything and everything...
will post more on this when i am hit by a lighting....

agony

was reading a few very interesting blogs... And it inspired me to update this blog for the nth time...
and also i have been experiencing a lot of new emotions which i had never thought existed... like agony - it might sound starnge but there is lot of comfort in agony...
And there is a lot of comfort in sadness...
no i am not a recently dumped lover boy... i am just discovering the pain of sharing and attachment...
The hollowness of happiness...
the search...
the eternal search....
it continues....

To be happy, after spending money...

Golden rules to remain sane after buying something expensive...

  • After you buy something never read its review.

  • AND dont check the price of the same in another shop.

  • AND dont ask your freind with the same model for opinion.

Chubby Cheeks!!!

I was listening to this nursery rhyme...
Chubby cheeks, dimple chin
rosy lips, teeth within,
Curly hair, very fair,
eyes are blue, lovely too,
Teacher's pet, is that you??
Yes, Yes, Yes.

Don't you think this is a very wrong notion we r teaching the kids... That the teacher likes the one with fair skin and chubby cheeks... How will a kid a with dark skin feel...
I think we should stop teaching this rhyme to kids.... This will instill the wrong notion that fair skin is inferior...

I am inspired to relaunch this blog once again. The inspiration is Joshua’s blog. I can’t do a recap like him as I don’t have that many entries. But nevertheless I will attempt a fresh start with more regular updates.
The main problem for me with blogging is unless there is a dialogue what’s the point. Many claim it’s their personal thing and don’t care if anyone is reading or not. But come-on if it so personal, then why write….? You can keep it in your mind or write it in a doc file and save it on your comp… you will save a lot of bandwidth and server space.
So for me it should be about dialogue or at least someone should read it… Then comes the question how do you make someone read your blog… for that you need to write something which will interest at least one more person than you. Uhhh tough thing…
For starters I think I will try and at least update more often… lets see where it will lead me….

Daily drink eases hypertensives’ heart risk -study
CHICAGO, March 22 (Reuters) - The protection against heart
disease from moderate drinking extends to men with high blood pressure, suggesting current advice for such patients to avoid alcohol is wrong, researchers said on Monday.
Long recognized as a stress reducer that cuts the risk of heart disease and strokes, wine and other forms of alcohol may have anti-clotting properties and boost blood levels of high-density lipoprotein, the so-called good cholesterol.
The study found that hypertensive men who drank moderately
• one or two drinks per day—had a 44 percent lower risk of dying from a heart attack than nondrinkers with high blood pressure.
Based on an ongoing survey of 14,126 male doctors, the Physicians’ Health Study, the five-year study concluded the overall risk of death was 28 percent lower among moderate drinkers with hypertension compared to hypertensive nondrinkers.
The benefit was also seen among light drinkers of one to six drinks a week, but the more alcohol consumed—as long as it remained moderate—the lower the risk of dying.

In a hurry

While driving down to my kid's school, i noticed one thing... Every one is in a hurry, all those fellow drivers at the red light are looking so impatient, i wonder how much agony they must be going thru and that too for no reason...
This made me think ( yes occasionaly i do think) everyone seems to be impatient. They all need more in less time. More money in less time. More is the key word. In this mad run behind bigger, better and more we are forgetting to rest.
Hence i have taken one important decision today. I am going to rest.
So long.
see you after my siesta
